UDD, also known as Up Dharma Down, is Paul Yap, Carlos Tañada, and Ean Mayor, now featuring Bea Lorenzo on vocals and session keyboardist Julian Bleza on keys. With over a billion streams on Spotify, the band has earned international recognition, including praise from Mark Coles of BBC Radio, who dubbed them “the Manila band most likely to cross over to the lucrative Anglophone market of North America.”
Drawing comparisons to The Chemical Brothers, Junior Boys, Disclosure, and Caribou, UDD has performed across Asia, Canada, and the US, sharing the stage with Incubus, Bloc Party, The xx, Tegan and Sara, Cut Copy, Cigarettes After Sex, Tahiti 80, Hitomitoi, Ovall, and Yumi Zouma.
As they work on their fifth album, UDD continues to explore their affinity for synth-pop, techno, and house, alongside collaborations with exciting artists. Catch them live for an immersive experience of dramatic lighting and lush, velvet beats.
